About This Shortcut

Drag and Insert Copy – The shortcut keys copies values and inserts cells at the new location. It also works when dragging entire rows or columns. It is an effective method for duplicating a row in an Excel table, as tables only allow you to copy and paste entire rows.

  • Window: Ctrl + Shift + Drag
  • Mac: Alt + Shift + Drag
